Two days! We're two days away from E3 2011 and I am stoked! If only I could take the week off from work and just watch the coverage live! But alas, bills need to be paid.
Many are excited to hear about Nintendo's new console, and I am too ... to a point. I grew up with Nintendo, but I feel like while I've matured as a gamer and adult, Nintendo has continued to cater to the younger audience. There's nothing wrong with that; it's just not going to bring me in as a gamer.
Stories of a PS4 were going around, and I haven't really kept up on who's saying what, but I don't think releasing a PS4 next year would do Sony well. People are going to be too hesitant to buy a new PS system after the PSN attack. The NGP is interesting and I'm curious to see how the multiple touch screens will be used.
Not much has been said about Microsoft. They don't have a very large lineup of games for the year, so I'm hoping they can announce something big either in games or hardware.
Speaking of games, what do I want to learn more about?
Star Wars: The Old Republic - a release date would be fantastic!
Assassin's Creed - More info on revelations and details of an actual third installment / historical period
Zelda: Skyward Sword - Yeah, I said I wasn't a huge Nintendo fan, but come on - it's Zelda!
A game by SCEA Santa Monica (guys who made God of War) - I don't want another God of War game - the story ended nicely right where it did. The Studio made great games though so I'd love to see what they're up to now.
Uncharted 3 - Another great series. I don' really need much on this. We have a release date, but maybe some info on multiplayer?
Motion Control games for either the Move or Kinect. And something that is not a Sports Game. I want to see something that really engages you and makes you feel like part of the game world.
